The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Syiah Kuala was founded in 1963. This faculty have 6 (six) Departments: Civil Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Mechanical dan Industrial Engineering; Electrical and Computer Engineering; Architecture and Urban Planning; and Earth and Enviromental Engineering.

International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICELTICs) is an annual event organized by Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia. ICELTICs is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Indonesia Section.

IEEE STUDENT BRANCH (IEEE-SB) UNSYIAH is a Syiah Kuala University student branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). They’re consists of all majors and graduate or undergraduate students. They learn to improve their knowledge in technology and enhancing their skill for the better contribution to the society.
